The Last Request
Father O''Grady was standing at the door after Sunday Mass, when Mary Clancy came up to him, tears rolling down her face.
"Oh Father," she cries, "I have terrible news!"
"What is it my child?" She says,
"My husband died last night."
"Oh Mary," says the priest, "That''s terrible news. But tell me - did he have any last requests?"
"Yes he did, Father."
"And what exactly did he ask, Mary?"
"He said ''Please, Mary. Put the gun down.''"
